A dog is like a liberal, he wants to please everybody. A cat doesn't really need to know that everybody loves him. - George Will

"Then the Cat said, 'I am not an Orphan, and I am not a Servant. I am the Cat who walks by himself, and I wish to come into your Cave.'" - Rudyard Kipling, from the "Just-So Stories"

Cats always know whether people like or dislike them. They do not always care enough to do anything about it.~Winifred Carriere

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat.
Just as no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

Rembrandt introduced himself during a "senior" adoption day event at the Cause for Paws animal shelter in Greenville, TX.

He is an old gentleman, used to the finer things in life. The vet thought he was at least 8 years old, and possibly quite a bit older than that.

Rembrandt has opinions on many matters, and will offer suggestions on a variety of topics, including closed doors, wet pavement and the possibility of obtaining more space on a warm bed.

There are those who have suggested he has a slight overbite, and that he might be a bit portly. On the other hand, those of us who live with him point out that his cinnamon coat is luxurious, his demeanor is always courteous, and his lap-cat-ability is unsurpassed. So mind your manners, please.

Time spent with cats is never wasted.
