Parts:

Within the two truck-loads of parts, we eventually unpacked a complete spare Buick 215cc engine, a full set of mags from an newer Lotus model (these eventually were swapped for replacement bumper layovers) and a new turbo charger, which, being sane, we did not use.

One of the reasons this car seemed like a viable project at the time was that (aside from the body being intact and in reasonable condition), a majority of the original Lotus parts (including the transmission) were in place. The Buick replacement engine was semi-complete and many of the expensive bits and pieces (trim, glass, interior, etc) were in excellent condition for a car of this age.

An important tip to anyone considering assembling a project of this kind: a two car garage is going to be a tight fit. We eventually stored parts in an a rented storage building, as well as adding a covered extension to the driveway.
