Interior:

Despite being almost 30 years old, this car had a clean, gently-used interior. After some deep-cleaning and shampooing, we were able to recycle the carpets and mats. We replaced the headliner. The door panels including rests were in excellent condition. We removed the seats (there were dead mouse bones under the passenger seat...) and managed to clean them thoroughly.
Unfortunately, the center console and the dash required extensive repair. They were removed and re-covered. There were some interesting problems to solve inside the car, in terms of re-wrapping some areas in matching vinyl, but the repairs worked out seamlessly.

No glass needed to be replaced. All gauges were replaced and rewired. The steering wheel and shifter knob were replaced, and a new radio/CD deck was installed. An official Siamese cat inspected this interior and approved it without reservation, although the mouse bones were viewed as an asset rather than a liability.
